FOX 26 News Brief for August 20, 2018

Two people are dead and another is hurt after a worker opened fire inside a Missouri City business. It happened at the Ben E. Keith Distribution Center.  According to police, 29-year-old Kristine Peralez shot and killed a manager, 31-year-old Francisco Reyes, and shot fellow employee 29-year-old Fedencio Janas in the leg. 

Santa Fe High School students returned to school today, the mass shooting in May still fresh on their minds. Santa Fe ISD is ramping up security this year. 

16-year-old Sarah Salazar was among the 13 injured in the shooting. She was in the art room when the gunman opened fire and her left arm is still in a sling. She said, overall, today was a good first day back.

After mounting pressure and criticism, today Texas A&M University announced new guidelines in how it handles cases of sexual assault on campus.

The second person wanted for robbing a Spring couple and running them over has been arrested. Travonn Johnson turned himself into police today.
