Houston police are investigating after a Houston Independent School District bus full of kids hit and killed a bicyclist on East 8th Street and Heights Boulevard.

Family and friends laid Joshua Givens to rest on Thursday. The New Caney High School student was killed in a hit-and-run while walking home over the weekend.

68 fire cadets filed complaints with the City of Houston on Thursday in the latest push to urge Mayor Sylvester Turner to implement Proposition B. 

A 14-year-old Jane Long Academy student is in critical condition on Thursday night. According to police, he and a juvenile were arguing at a store across the street from the school on Wednesday and the juvenile stabbed him.
