Firefighters, police escort daughter of late battalion chief to first day of school

GILBERT, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Firefighters and police lined the streets on Thursday to escort the daughter of a late battalion chief to her first day of school.

Gilbert Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief James Nelson passed away on August 1 and first responders honored Chief Nelson by lining the streets outside of Campo Verde High School to escort his daughter to her first day of school.
