Firefighters get pay parity, is legal action next - What's Your Point?

Houston voters resoundingly approved Proposition B, which gives the city's firefighters pay parity with the Houston police department. In recognition of the steep price tag Firefighter Union Chief Marty Lancton says he's willing to go back to the bargaining table and consider spreading the wage hike over multiple years. For his part, Mayor Turner say's he'll soon be shedding workers off the pay roll.
