Deputies say they found 19-year-old drunk inside cop car he vandalized
Conroe police were called to the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constables Office by a citizen who noticed all the windows in a patrol car were broken.
That citizen feared someone had fired shots at the patrol car and there could possibly be an injured or dead law officer in the vehicle.
Conroe police arrived at the constables office in record speed and say they did find someone in the patrol car but it wasn't a law officer.
"They found the suspect sitting in the driver's seat laid over the console of the car," said Constable 2 Chief Deputy Steve Roper.
Roper says 19-year-old Dionis Estrada told officers he didn't remember anything between the time he got drunk and being handcuffed.
But he was apparently very busy.
"He found a commode seat in a dumpster which adjoins our office and he proceeded to smash the windows out with the commode seat," Roper said.
And cops say the teenager didn't stop there.
Roper says he used the concrete car stop the vehicle was backed up against.
"He was able to stand it on end and let it fall into the car causing damage in three different places," said Roper.
Estrada is now charged with felony criminal mischief.
"I can only describe this as a blatant attack on law enforcement," Roper said. "I don't know any other way to put it these people out there don't like police."
