Deadly Houston hit-and-run crash at Kirby, Westridge

The Brief

    • A pedestrian died after he was struck by at least one vehicle on Kirby Road.
    • Police say the driver or drivers did not remain at the scene.

HOUSTON - A search is underway for at least one driver who hit a pedestrian and didn’t stop to help the man, Houston police say. He did not survive the crash.

The crash occurred around 11 p.m. Tuesday on Kirby Road near Westridge Street.

According to Houston police, officers and EMS responded to a report of someone down in the road and found the unconscious man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the man was struck by at least one vehicle, but the driver did not remain at the scene.
