KINGSTREE, S.C. - A garbage truck driver suffered minor injuries when an Amtrak train struck the vehicle at a crossing in Kingstree, South Carolina, on April 1, officials said.

The Williamsburg County Fire Department said crews responded to a reported crash near North Williamsburg County Highway shortly before 10:30 a.m.

Footage shared by Kingstree Auction Company captures the moment of impact as the truck tries to cross the tracks.

"The driver of the garbage truck was able to get out of the truck on his own with minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation," the Williamsburg County Fire Department said on Facebook. "No injuries were reported by the passengers and crew on the train."
