An American Bald Eagle is recovering now thanks to rescuers who saved it when it became trapped in a power line in Washington.

A resident spotted the eagle Sunday and reported it to Clallam County deputies who responded to the scene to help the eagle. Power was shut off to the lines in area which allowed the eagle to free itself.

The eagle fell from the line, but branches broke his fall preventing further injury. The eagle was then bundled up in a blanket and handed over to the Northwest Raptor and Wildlife Center for care.
