Alvin ISD re-evaluating ban on boys wearing makeup after petition

Alvin ISD is reconsidering a rule that prohibits boys from wearing makeup after an online petition began circulating.

It all stems from a student who was given in-school suspension at Shadow Creek High School for not complying with the school's dress code – he wore makeup. He's also a cosmetology student at the school and applies makeup to others. That student's friend created a petition which now has over 2,000 signatures. Now the district is considering changes to its dress code.

On the Factor to talk about this is Mike Webb, President of the Houston LGBT Political Caucus, and Monica Roberts, a blogger writer and transgender advocate.
