An alligator weighing over 900 lbs. was captured in a Sugar Land shopping center Saturday morning.

Authorities were called to the First Colony Commons Shopping Center to wrangle in the 50-year-old gator--who  was said to be 12 feet long, and blind in one eye.

Authorities believe the gator came from Oyster Creek that runs behind the shopping center. A Home Depot forklift had to be used to transport the gator to a truck to be taken from the lot.

The gator will be transported to an alligator sanctuary called Janik Aligators in El Campo.
