Authorities say two men on the Texas 10 Most Wanted sex offender list have been captured in unrelated arrests.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says information submitted to Texas Crime Stoppers led to 48-year-old Houston resident Charles Simpson. Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division Special Agents took Simpson into custody on Thursday near downtown Houston.

Simpson was wanted since January for parole violation and failure to comply as a sex offender. He was added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list in September 2016.

Simpson was convicted in 1990 of sexual assault following an incident in Harris County involving a 35-year-old woman. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Simpson was convicted of delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine) in 1993 and was sentenced to 25 years in prison. He was paroled in 2006 from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and required to register as a sex offender for life. He was convicted in Harris County for fail to comply as a sex offender in 2012.

The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a parole arrest warrant for Simpson on Jan. 14. A Harris County district court issued an additional warrant for fail to comply as a sex offender on July 28.

The U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force, which includes the Texas DPS CID, took 39-year-old Albert Isaiah Christopher into custody on Halloween in Dallas following information submitted to Texas Crime Stoppers. DPS says Christopher was wanted since January 2014 for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements and probation violation.

Christopher was convicted of two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child in November 2011 following incidents in Dallas County involving two girls, ages 10 and 12. He was sentenced to seven years of probation and required to register as a sex offender every three months.

A Dallas County judicial district court issued probation violation arrest warrants for Christopher on Jan. 13, 2014. The Dallas County Sheriff's Office issued an additional warrant for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements on Jan. 19, 2014.

Each tipster will be paid a reward of up to $3,000.
