12-year-old girl in high-speed chase case released to uncle

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A young girl, who was in juvenile detention custody following a high-speed law enforcement pursuit into Montgomery County, has been released to the custody of her uncle and his fiancee.

A Montgomery County judge ruled on Tuesday that the 12-year-old girl be released to her relative.

The juvenile led law enforcement officers on a high speed chase through Montgomery County with speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour. 

The court-ordered drug tests for the child's mother and grandmother revealed one person testing positive, but the attorneys involved would not say who.
