$100,000 grant to help reduce breast cancer disparities

The American Cancer Society and the Houston Texans has awarded a $100,000 grant to Legacy Community Health.

It will help them target underserved populations with a focus on African American communities, and will fund care such as breast cancer screening, follow-up of abnormal mammograms and access to specialty care.

The grant funding was made possible through the American Cancer Society’s partnership with the NFL and the league’s Crucial Catch campaign.

Here to discuss this is Keisha Bundage from Legacy Community Health and Gloria Robinson from the American Cancer Society.
