Chilean police officer frees trapped dog, gets hug in return

A police officer in Chile climbed a fence to help a distressed dog tangled in cloth in the courtyard of a residence in San Felipe, Chile, on March 3, according to local reports.

The country’s national police force, Carabineros de Chile, released footage of the rescue, writing, “We are where we’re most needed! Carabinero from the 2nd Precinct San Felipe rescues a pup that tangled itself in a net while home alone.”

The footage shows the officer cutting the cloth to free the dog, who jumps on the officer in a show of appreciation.
