Border encounters predicted to increase - What's Your Point?

HOUSTON - Imagine a monthly flow of uninvited immigrants crossing into Texas exceeding the entire population of Beaumont twice over.

 That’s the current reality on our southern border. 

 Now consider the projections if President Joe Biden rescinds the restriction known as Title 42.

 At 18,000 newcomers every 24 hours, the Lone Star State will absorb a population the size of Austin’s every 45 days.

 The Biden administration claims it's bringing resources to bear, but imagine the added stress on public schools, safety-net hospitals, and the already chronically short supply of affordable housing?

Against this backdrop we have two developments - state Attorney General Ken Paxton’s latest lawsuit against the federal government.....and the tragic loss of a Texas guardsman who died trying to save two immigrants from downing.
