Richmond police are cleaning up debris after 4 semis were involved in a crash on US-59 on Tuesday morning. Richmond police say two people had to be taken to the hospital in connection to the crash.
What we know:
The crash happened in the northbound lanes of US-59 in Richmond, near Rosenberg, on Tuesday morning, shortly after 3:30 a.m.
Richmond police say weather conditions and black ice caused one of the 18-wheelers to flip over, while a second one jack-knifed.
A third 18-wheeler hit the jack-knifed semi and a fourth vehicle was also damaged.

One of the vehicles was a FedEx Ground truck.
Richmond police say two of the drivers were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
US-59 is closed while crews work to remove the debris.
What we don't know:
At this time, we don't know how long the northbound lanes will be closed.
Richmond police say it could take several hours to clean up the roadway.
