Mostly cloudy skies and patchy fog were affecting areas from McAllen

to San Antonio, and as far north as Waco early this morning. There a

few high clouds near El Paso, and clear conditions across the rest

of the state. Winds were either light and variable, or southerly at

5 to 10 mph. Temperatures ranged from the upper 60s in the panhandle

area to the lower 80s along the Gulf coast.

Expect hot and dry conditions to persist through the remainder of

the week. Afternoon temperatures will warm into the mid 90s to near

100 degrees, with overnight lows in the low to mid 70s. No rain is

anticipated through the weekend.
