FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast
Thanks to the Saharan dust moving in, drier air has rolled in meaning lower humidity and heat index values. The bad news is that temperatures are still toasty, near 100 for most inland spots today. Look for continued hot temperatures for the rest of this week with highs near 100. We should escape heat advisories for the next few days. But humidity is expected to increase by early next week and heat advisories could return. Rain will be limited through the weekend with only a 10-20% chance for isolated PM showers and storms. There's just one tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic with a 30% chance to become a tropical depression, storm or hurricane over the next week as it moves west.

Houston weather: Four days straight of showers with no impact on temperatures
We've had four days in a row with scattered showers and storms but it hasn't affected temperatures very much because we've still hit highs near 100 and that trend will continue through this weekend.

Houston Weather: Heat advisory continues until Tuesday
HEAT ADVISORY remains in effect until 10 PM Tuesday for all of SE Texas. That means combined temperature and humidity values could result in "feels like" temps around 108-112 which is still in the danger zone. So continue to practice heat safety by drinking lots of water, taking frequent breaks while working outside, checking on sick and elderly neighbors, and checking your car for kids and/or pets before walking away. We remain stuck in the same weather pattern through the end of the work week with highs near 100 and heat indices 108+. The weather pattern shifts a bit this weekend with high pressure sliding west. This will allow for more clouds and better rain and storm chances, especially by Sunday and Monday. So hang on....some relief is possible this weekend!
