The good news is that we've been taken out of any severe storm risk for the rest of today. I can't rule out a few showers or storms though through the early evening. Storm chance increases again Saturday, especially during the afternoon and evening. We are under a 1 out of 5 low risk for a few strong to severe storms Saturday. Strong to severe storms are rolling in this evening that could produce some strong wind and hail along with heavy downpours. Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for Houston until 9pm. Models are not in agreement on timing but it appears that a few lines of storms could impact us on Friday, one in the early morning and another in the evening. Severe storm risk increases to a 2/5 for the entire area Friday which will include a damaging wind, hail & very low tornado threat.
