There was a lot of red and black on Pryor Street in Atlanta on Tuesday. Fulton County put on the “Ultimate Falcons Tailgate Party.” Guests were treated to bands, cheerleaders, and food trucks. Freddie the Falcon even made an appearance.

For the last quarter century, Ed Mangan has spent his springs and summers taking care of Turner Field and his winters prepping fields for the Super Bowl. "This will be my 27th Super Bowl and the Braves are kind enough to let me chip in with the NFL and help them out with the Super Bowl," says Mangan.

Super Bowl LI marks the network's eighth time the show will be broadcast on FOX.   And network executives have lots of exciting  things in store for viewers--including a device that will give viewers a virtual access from inside the player's helmet. 

Super Bowl Opening Night turned into a bit of controversy and trouble for the Atlanta Falcons. Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan realized at some point his backpack, the one with the entire game plan for Sunday’s Super Bowl, went missing.

We're less than a week away from the Super Bowl and the home team, the Atlanta Falcons, arrived in Houston Sunday after a packed send-off at Atlantic Station on Sunday. 

It was the official kickoff of Super Bowl week in Houston on Monday and a lot of fans from Atlanta, maybe haven’t arrive yet, but that doesn’t mean that the Falcons don’t already have fans in town.

Patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston are gearing up for the Falcons playing in the Super Bowl. Tuesday, they hosted a football-themed pep rally. Freddie the Falcon and Falcons Cheerleaders joined the fun. Hospital officials said they are supporting Matt Ryan and the Falcons because they have always supported the children.

It's all about the pros this weekend, as the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots prepare to face off for Super Bowl LI in Houston.  But nowhere is football fever running higher than at Atlanta's College Football Hall of Fame, which celebrates the legacies of many players who went on to claim Super Bowl victories.

Let's all be honest: we were wrong about the Falcons. With the exception of the most confident of Falcons faithful, few expected Atlanta to end up in the Super Bowl.
