Texas woman survives attacks from snake, hawk after snake 'fell from the sky'

A woman in Silsbee, Texas says she is thankful to be alive after being attacked simultaneously by a snake and hawk after the snake "fell from the sky".

You have to see it to believe it. A Texas woman says a snake fell from the sky, wrapped around her arm, then tried biting her face. All the while, a hawk swooped down and tried grabbing the snake off her arm. FOX 26's Matthew Seedorff met with the woman who says she's thankful to be alive.

Wish we were kidding but a bunch of snake fans are heading to Florida for the Python Challenge. The competition is meant to remove as many Burmese pythons from the Everglades as possible. These snakes are an invasive species and they're destroying Florida's native wildlife. The hunt runs through August 13.
