Houston rapper Erik 'Skrapdawg' Landry writes song about Astros
Erik “Skrapdawg” Landry is a local upcoming rapper from Third Ward in Houston who’s so excited about the Houston Astros' run to the World Series that he’s written a song about them. The Astros aren’t the only thing that excites him. Erik runs a non-profit that combats real-life issues affecting the lives of children in our community every day called We Are The Village Project, named after the African proverb “it takes a village.” Scrapdawg even goes around to different schools teaching kids that bullying is not the way to go. He even wrote a song about it and performs it. He says writing a song for the Astros is also a big sense of community for him. You can purchase the song at www.taketheAstrosback.com.
