Texans bring back Charles James II

Preseason fan favorite Charles James II is on his way back to the Houston Texans.

FOX 26 Sports Director Mark Berman tweeted the following on Monday afternoon: "#Texans claimed former Texans CB Charles James and are expected to put safety Lonnie Ballentine on IR"

James was one of the last cuts after a Texans training camp in which he became a fan favorite not only for his efforts to make the squad, not only for the obstacles he faced in trying to do so, but also because of his well-documented happy socks on HBO's "Hard Knocks."

James had just been added to the Ravens' active roster last Monday from their practice squad, but was then cut this past Saturday to make room on the Baltimore roster for a running back in the wake of Justin Forsett's injury issues.

James posted on his Instagram account Monday with the following: "I'm coming home! Guess who's back #Htown"
