Rockets reach contract agreement with guard Eric Gordon

After landing free agent power forward Ryan Anderson earlier on Saturday, the Rockets reached an agreement on a contract with free agent guard Eric Gordon.

NBA sources confirmed for FOX 26 Sports that Gordon gets a four-year deal worth $53 million.

An eight-year veteran, Gordon played the last five seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Gordon and Anderson have been teammates for four years, and that will continue in Houston.

Gordon, who can play both point guard and shooting guard, has career averages of 16.6 points, 3.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds.

He shoots better than 38 per cent from the three-point line for his career, and shot nearly 45 per cent from distance two years ago.

Gordon began his career with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he played for three years.
