Rockets guard Pat Beverley fined $25,000 by NBA

An NBA source confirmed Rockets guard Pat Beverley has been fined $25,000 by the league for an incident involving a fan following game three of the first-round playoff series with the Thunder in Oklahoma City.

ESPN video shows Beverley and the fan, identified initially by the Norman Transcript as Stuart Scaramucci, son of  Thunder minority owner Jay Scaramucci, had an exchange after the game was over.

Teammate Sam Dekker intervened and pulled Beverley away.

The Thunder fan initiated the problem which began in the second quarter when Beverley fell at his feet while trying to make a play and the fan waived a noise maker at him. Beverley quickly complained to one of the game officials.

Beverley said at practice on Saturday he would comment on the situation after the investigation was completed.
