Kyle Postma to start at quarterback for UH

Greg Ward Jr. will not play for the University of Houston on Saturday against Lamar at TDECU Stadium.

Backup quarterback Kyle Postma will get the start.

Ward injured his right (throwing) shoulder in the win over Oklahoma.

He got a platelet rich plasma injection on Tuesday according to Coach Tom Herman.

It is not known if Ward practiced this week, although he did attend the Wednesday workout according to offensive coordinator Major Applewhite.

Ward suffered an injury against Memphis last year and was replaced by Postma, who led the Cougars to victory, scoring the winning touchdown.
