Houston Astros world championship rings unveiled

The Houston Astros and Jostens presented the Houston Astros 2017 World Championship Ring to players and coaches in a special pregame ceremony on Wednesday night.

“We are incredibly proud of this ring and what it represents for our players, the whole Astros organization and our fans,” said Houston Astros owner and chairman Jim Crane. “It was important for us to design a ring that reflected just how historic last season truly was. We wanted to make sure that every member of the Astros organization – from the players, to the front office staff, to our seasonal associates – got a ring, because they all contributed to winning Houston’s first World Championship.”

The Astros are distributing 1,332 rings to Astros players, coaches, clubhouse and training staff, baseball and business front office members, medical staff, seasonal associates, Baseball Hall of Fame inductees, owners and broadcasters.

“We at Jostens are truly honored of have had the opportunity to partner with the Houston Astros to create this ring,” said Chris Poitras, Jostens division vice president of professional sports. “The design pays tribute to the determination of the team and the strength of the Houston fans.”

The rings will include the following features:

- 90 grams in 14k

- 14 karat white and yellow gold

- 214 round diamonds

- 11 baguette diamonds
