An officer with the Texas City Police Department has retired after 32 years on the job -- without using a single sick day.

Senior Patrol Officer Ronald "Pookie" Hall completed his final radio call sending him off to retirement.

The Texas City Police Department shared video of the call on their Facebook page.

"During your 32 years of police service, you never used a day of sick time. You are the longest serving African American officer in the police department's history," the dispatcher says on the call.

The call ends with applause from his colleagues.
