Texas Rangers, Tomball police investigate teacher-student relationship

Parents of Tomball Memorial High School students were notified on Saturday that an employee of the school was terminated after an alleged inappropriate relationship with a female student.

Tomball Independent School District spokeswoman Staci Stanfield released the following statement:

Texas Rangers and Tomball police are investigating the nature of the alleged "inappropriate relationship," but say that the former employee has not been charged.

Some students say they knew the teacher and just can't believe this.

"He was my teacher for two years and he was a great teacher and he coached me through a lot of things," said one student. "He was just there for me, I don't believe this teacher student relationship happened. I just don't see it happening."

Parents are concerned and also outraged that an employee allegedly crossed the line with a child.

"I think that we live in an unfortunate world and this happens more often than it should," said one parent. "What do you say to someone like that? They don't have the comprehension to understand what they're doing is wrong."
