Teen arrested, shell casing found on rodeo grounds

During a news conference at NRG Park on Thursday, Houston police said that 17-year-old Raymond Nathan Colbert has been arrested and a shell casing was found on the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo grounds. 

Colbert was charged with evading arrest, a misdemeanor. Police are investigating whether or not he may be involved or know information about the shell casing that was found although no weapon was found.

Houston police gave the all clear after responding to reports of a possible shooting at the rodeo at around 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday near the carnival.

No injuries were reported.

Police referred to the incident as a "reported discharge of firearms."

One eyewitness said that people were running for their safety. "They were screaming and running. They kept shouting 'he has a gun, he has a gun.'  Everyone was running to hide and find safety."
