Students in over a dozen Houston-area districts head back to school
HOUSTON, TX - Thousands of bright eyed students are already back in class and ready to kick off a new year on Wednesday morning. More than a dozen districts are in session--from Katy to Spring. Katy ISD is opening its doors with a brand new campus at Campbell Elementary in Fulshear.
Several area school districts were devastated after Hurricane Harvey and forced to close their doors. Now, Katy ISD students will be walking into a newly-renovated campus. Some schools have also beefed up their security.
The following school districts are opening on Wednesday:

- Brazos ISD
- Brazosport ISD
- Conroe ISD
- Fort Bend ISD
- Friendswood ISD
- Katy ISD
- LaPorte ISD
- Spring ISD
- Splendora ISD
- Willis ISD
