HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Former Houston Rocket Steve Francis and the Francis Foundation teamed up with Kids Lives Matter and the Houston Food Bank for an annual holiday event Sunday in Third Ward.
The event featured toys and games for kids plus a catered dinner and a bag of groceries for families to take home with them. Organizers say because of Hurricane Harvey, they decided to give families more than just toys and food this year. This year kids also received new beds.
They say there’s still a big need for even more mattresses. If you’re interested in donating, visit the Kids Lives Matter website here.
