Spring High School student shot near campus
SPRING, Texas - A 17-year-old student was injured in a shooting near Spring High School on Monday morning, officials say.
According to the Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office, the teen was shot multiple times and taken to the hospital in unknown condition. The district confirmed that he is a student at the high school.

The shooting occurred off campus, and law enforcement activity was seen at multiple locations within half a mile of the school.
Constable deputies initially said they were in the parking lot of a Burger King across from the campus. A large law enforcement presence was also seen a short distance away on Spring Point Drive.
The constable’s office says there was a fight, and a male was found shot afterward. They said someone was also detained.
The constable’s office says they have a possible suspect name and are working with Spring ISD police as the investigation continues.
Spring ISD sent FOX 26 this statement: "This morning, McNabb Elementary and Spring High School were placed on "Secure" status while law enforcement investigated criminal activity near the Spring High campus. Tragically, the incident resulted in one of our high school students being injured in a shooting near the Topgolf Spring venue located on 560 Spring Park Center Blvd, Spring, TX 77373. The student was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition, our thoughts are with them and their family during this difficult time. Law enforcement is actively investigating the situation."
