Reunited with daughter after being separated at border
ATLANTA - A mother separated from her child at the border sees her daughter for the first time in months.
The emotional reunion happened Friday afternoon at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Representatives for the mother said she had not seen her 9-year-old daughter in more than two months.
During Friday's reunion, she said she was overjoyed to finally see her daughter after so long apart.
The mother and a law firm with Nexus Services have sued the trump administration over the separation.
The lawsuit alleges unlawful separation as well as racial discrimination and bias in the separation policy.
Nexus said the lawsuit will continue.
