82-year-old Pat Deckert has been a lifelong volunteer, but she has dedicated her golden years to helping others. When she retired from her career in child nutrition, Pat decided to be full-time volunteer.

From the time she wakes up in the morning, Deckert starts planning out her day. Juggling all sorts of jobs from making hundreds of sandwiches for pre-school students to reading books for patients that are in the hospital. She also serves as the librarian at The Buckingham retirement community in southwest Houston where she lives.

Deckert shows no signs of slowing down and tells FOX 26 News that she will continue to give back until she can't anymore.
