HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Police called off the search for an armed suspect near campus around 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to Pasadena Police Department, officers following aggravated robbery suspects out of Pasadena wound up at 45 and Cullen near the UH campus.
Around 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, the University of Houston sent out an alert that a person with a weapon was reported on campus and asking people to avoid the Athletics/Alumni center, baseball field and stadium complex.
According to the University of Houston alert, the male suspect was seen wearing a grey shirt with black sleeves and black pants.
Police say one of five suspects was arrested and four remain on the loose. According to police, two out of three suspect vehicles were confirmed stolen -- one of which was taken by gunpoint in Houston. Police released this photo of a "person of interest" in the investigation.
