HARRIS COUNTY, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the shooting death of a deputy at the Chevron station located at West Road and Telge Road.

The suspect is described as a dark complexioned male, driving a red extended cab pick-up styled vehicle.

Anyone with information related to the suspect is asked to immediately contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office at 713-755-8787.

 

UPDATE: Deputy Darren Goforth, 47, named as deputy gunned down at a NW Houston gas station Friday evening.

He leaves behind a wife, and two children.

PREVIOUS REPORT: Red/Maroon Ford Ranger is what law enforcement is reporting as being connected to the suspect.

Suspect shot the officer multiple times as he was on the ground.

HCSO is searching for suspect - dark-complected male, 5'10-6 ft. tall, wearing white t-shirt, red shorts.

The deputy was a 10-year veteran, and was on duty at the time of the incident.

Motive unknown.

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is currently responding to a scene where a deputy reportedly suffered from a gunshot wound.
A media briefing will be conducted by units on scene.

PREVIOUS REPORT:
A Harris County Sheriff's Deputy has been shot on West Road in northwest Harris County.
The call came in at 8:30 pm, near West Road at Telge.
Life Flight is in route to the scene. The deputy's condition is unknown.
