Pearland mother pleads guilty in drowning deaths of twin daughters

Barbara Russo has pleaded guilty to two counts of third degree felony, criminally negligent homicide in the drowning deaths of her 14-month-old twin daughters.

Savannah Russo and Sabrina Russo died February, 2015 in Pearland.

The investigation revealed that the defendant Barbara Russo placed her twin daughters in a deep bathtub with the water running and left them unattended for an extended length of time resulting in the drowning deaths of the children.

Barbara Russo was sentenced to 6 years in prison with an affirmative finding that water was used as a deadly weapon on both counts of criminally negligent homicide.
