Oscar surprises and snubs

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Oscar nominations for the 90th annual awards are out.

“The Shape of Water” is still on fire awards-wise, leading the pack with 13 nominations. “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” got nine nominations. “Dunkirk” got eight.

All three were nominated for best picture. Other best picture nominees include “Call Me By Your Name”, “Darkest Hour", “Get Out”, “Lady Bird”, and “The Post”.

But some of these movies aren't that well known. Many people haven't even seen the films. Are the Oscars a bit out of touch?
