SUGAR LAND, Texas (FOX 26) - Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office investigators are trying to figure out who shot and killed a teen and injured another around 3 a.m. Sunday in the Greatwood subdivision.
Fort Bend Sheriff Troy Nehls says about 30 people in their teens and early twenties were at a party on Arbor View Drive when an argument started, and someone opened fire.
One male victim died on scene. Another victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
Sheriff Nehls says the homeowner is out of town with his family and left a key with someone to take care of the home while they are away.
Bervis McBride is a friend of the homeowner and went to the crime scene to find out what happened.
"I just can't believe the audacity of these young folks doing what they did," said McBride. "I just think that's just pretty incredible and how quick things can happen."
No one has been arrested yet.
