Authorities say an argument at a party ended with one person dead and another in critical condition after someone ran them down with an SUV. It happened around 12:30 a.m. on July 2 outside a home on Emerald Lane in New Caney.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is now seeking two persons of interest in the case. One person of interest is described a white female with long, curly, reddish colored hair. The other person of interest is described as a male with a star tattoo on his right cheek, another unknown tattoo on his left cheek, and multiple tattoos all over his body. Anyone with information on the persons of interest are asked to contact MCSO.

Investigators say about 80 to 100 people were at the party drinking and shooting fireworks, and that a group of young men showed up and got into some kind of conflict with other people there.

Deputies say a vehicle struck several individuals, then fled the scene. The man who was killed has been identified by family members as Ray Jasso. Family says his two children—a 10 and 8-year-old—were standing near him playing with fireworks when it  happened.

The family is asking for whoever may have video of what happened to come forward. They are also asking for the person responsible to turn himself in.

The vehicle that hit the two victims is described as a tan or white older-model SUV, possibly a Suburban, Tahoe, or a Yukon.
