Mastercard tests new selfie security system

Mastercard is teaming with a California credit union to test a new to combat credit card fraud by letting you verify your purchases with a picture of yourself. Instead of entering a pin, you simply snap a selfie and the program uses facial recognition to confirm you are. The program targets younger adults who as a whole, take over a hundred million selfies a day. Mastercard is also testing both fingerprint and voice recognition methods for verification, all of which would be available on their app.
