Man skips work for 6 years goes unnoticed

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A man who was to be awarded for his 20 years of loyal service ended up being fined instead. Apparently he ended up cashing a paycheck, for six years “after” he stopped showing up for work.

The story of 69 year-old Joaquin Garcia who, apparently retired in 2011 and never said anything when the paychecks, mistakenly kept coming. Now he faces a $30,000 fine which was the most Spanish law allows to be reclaimed.
