Man shot and killed in front of wife and daughter after carjacking attempt
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Deputies say a man was shot and killed in front of his wife and daughter after a failed carjacking the night of March 11 in the Greenspoint area.
According to investigators, the man had just parked his car outside of an apartment complex when a group of men tried to carjack the man at gunpoint.
Deputies say the man was pistol whipped when he got out of the vehicle. They say the carjackers got mad when they couldn’t figure out how to drive the car with a manual transmission.
Witnesses say that’s when one of the men shot and killed the father, and then they ran back to the car they came in and drove away.
Police released a composite sketch in hopes of identifying the two men. The gun men are described as being in their late teens and driving a silver or white 4-door sedan.
