Man dead, woman hurt in shooting following altercation at Houston club

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Police say a man was fatally shot in his car following an altercation at a nightclub in southwest Houston.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting on the Southwest Freeway feeder road near Beechnut around 3 a.m. They found a man dead in the car and a woman who had been shot in the leg. The woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

According to police, the man and woman were at a club nearby, and there was an altercation there. When the man and woman left the club, police say someone in another car followed them and shots were fired at the vehicle the man and woman were in. They were both shot.

Investigators are interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance video to determine what led up to the shooting.
