After 18 years behind bars, a Montgomery County man convicted of murder has been released from prison.

It was back in 1998 when 41-year-old Neal Hampton Robbins was arrested, and later convicted in the death of his girlfriend's 17-month-old daughter Tristan Skye Trivet.

Today, the Montgomery County District Attorney said he did not have the evidence to try Robbins again for the death of the child so the judge on the case released him.

This all comes after the testimony of the pathologist back then came into question.

Dr.  Patricia Moore said she could no longer stand behind her science that the baby girl was murdered.

Robbins was released from the Montgomery County jail Thursday afternoon.
