Lufthansa flight from Houston diverted to JFK after threat
NEW YORK (FOX 26) - Lufthansa Flight LH441 from Houston to Frankfurt, Germany was diverted to JFK after a threat was called into Lufthansa headquarters, according to the Port Authority.
The pilot chose to land at JFK at a remote area of airport.
Passenger are being off-loaded and New York City Police Department bomb squad is checking out the plane.
Fufthansa tweeted in response to several inquiries about the flight saying "LH441 was diverted as a matter of precaution in coordination with the relevant authorities and the pilot. Passengers disembarked and LH staff will take care of them. The aircraft will be searched."
