Juvenile hawk rescued after being lodged under car

A juvenile hawk that was hit by a truck and somehow found itself lodged underneath a car is on its way to recovery.

Rescuers from the Owl's Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife helped the red-shouldered hawk after it ricocheted off the truck and became stuck in the undercarriage of a woman's car after it was hit on I-4.

The woman drove to work with the bird lodged in the car, and thankfully it was still alive when she found it.

It took rescuers about 20 minutes to get the bird out. The wings appear to be in good shape, but Busch Gardens will treat the bird, which appears to have a leg injury.
