Investigators continue digging for possible human remains

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - It’s day two and investigators continue digging for possible human remains but a trusted source tells Fox 26 detectives still haven’t found anything. 

Several agencies, including Texas Rangers, La Marque Police and Texas Equusearch are digging in a field on East Orem between Mykawa and MLK. 

Detectives will only say they are digging as part of an on-going investigation, but a source tells Fox 26 a tip regarding a cold case led officers to this field.  We’re told the human remains they are searching for could be a female who disappeared some time ago. 

Detectives say they won’t give anymore information until evidence is uncovered because they don’t want to hurt their investigation.
