ICNA Houston hoping to dispel Islamophobia with event

Last week, there was a "Meet a Black Person" event in Georgia. The event was aimed at bridging the racial divide and getting white people and other groups out of their comfort zones, and it went off without a hitch.

Now with hate crimes on the rise across the US, the Houston Muslim community is hoping to do the same this weekend. This event is called " Meet your Muslim Neighbors", and it's hosted by the Islamic Council of North America. The group hopes to make some friends, answer questions about Islam and dispel Islamophobia.

Musab Abdali, one of the organizers of the event, is on the Factor to talk about it.
